Commercial Description:
Brewed with Pumpkin and Spices(Cinnamon,Nutmeg,Cardamom,Cloves). This 8.0% ABV pumpkin ale is heartier, spicier, and more caramelly and pumpkiny than its faint brethren! Perfect finisher on a cool autumn night, or match it up with a slice of pumpkin pie and fresh whipped cream. If you don't agree this is the mother of all pumpkin ales, then you just don't like mothers!

I compared this with the Southern Tier Pumking Ale. Heavier in texture, but not the flavor or the nose of the "KING". Very enjoyable none the less. The cinnamon and the clove come together to form a RedHot flavor every once in a while. Nutmeg is very evident in the nose

Bottle courtesy of a BA brother. Smells like pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pours a deep orange with a fizzy body at first, slowly dying down. Flavor matches the nose to a tee. Light alcohol burn in the finish. Gotta be one of the better pumpkin beers Ive had.

pours dark red, wonderful spicy smell, cloves, cinnamon and alcohol. Also fruity. The whole arouma has a very wine-like character. The pour is very fizzy, and the head disappears quickly. Smooth, slippery mouthfeel. An excellent beer with plenty of alcohol!

Bottle from 2007. WONDERFUL aroma of cinnamon and cloves...Sweet taste up front of pumpkin, and cloves. A nice sweetness followed by the bite of nutmeg and cloves. This was my favorite of the three pumpkin ales I tried. I am a fan of Weyerbacher. Not sure why, but I always enjoy them.

12 oz bottle from Total Wine. Pours bright orange, with light bubbly eggshell head. Definitely pumpkin aroma with a solid clove balance. little hint of vanilla and earth. Very smooth sweet vanilla, then a super smooth mild spice finish. Mildly carbonated and ABV is hidden well.

Bottle. Pours a clear caramel light brown with a medium to thick tanned white head. Cinnamon, nutmeg, clove. Wonderful pumpkin pie spice aromas. Medium to thick body, light sweetness. Warming alcohol on the finish and a little bit more spicy hot cinnamon. Pretty tasty.

Deep amber cider color with moderate tan lacing. Spices dominate aroma, and are reminiscent of cider as well. Balanced taste with excellent mouthfeel. Mild aftertaste dominated by cloves.
