Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Oct 24, 2009 Smells citrussy and sweet. Tastes citrussy and sweet with some tea elements. Pretty straight forward and basic. jason (1620), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA May 3, 2008 Bottle. I was hoping to find some fresh bottles but that looks like it won’t happen so I will rate on the bottle I’ve had. Hazy amber body with thin head. Aroma is faint citrus and spices. Flavor is caramel, spices and a little vegatable. sinkr (212), Lusby, Maryland, USA Jan 8, 2008 Bottle->shaker: Pours a light brown head atop a dark amber body. Lots of frothy head, some carbonation Aroma is hoppy, bitter flavor, flavor is mostly hoppy, has a bitter+astringent aftertaste with not much body or aftertaste. Not a very good IPA interpretation IMO. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA Nov 27, 2007 Bottle. Pours cloudy amber with a thin head that disappears. Fruity aroma, grapefruit, flowers, touch of sweetness. Taste is flowers and bitter. Not much malt anywhere. Bitterness lingers. Plain bad. I hope my drain enjoyed it more than me. GriffinAvenue (395), Winchester, Massachusetts, USA Dec 25, 2006 Bottle. Copper, hazy color with head that overflowed upon opening. Classic IPA light hoppy scent with hints of melon and citrus. Drinkable but unremarkable in flavor or finish. OK. tjthresh (1746), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Nov 29, 2006 12 ounce bottle from my SS winter 06. Light copper with a smallish white head. The aroma is of citrus hop tea. Not malt character to speak of. Kind of the same going on with the flavor. The malt just isn’t coming through. Medium body. beerbill (1917), Laurel, New York, USA Sep 20, 2006 12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a thick, fluffy off-white head tha lasted through the entire glass. Light but pleasant aroma of sweet malt and grassy hops. The initial flavor is a bit om the sweet side. The follow through is slightly bitter. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. Most American IPA’s are much more dominated by hops than this beer, in some cases overhopped. I think if I was drinking this blind, I would have found it difficult to call it an IPA, but I enjoyed this beer nonetheless. As an aside, I noticed there is no UPC code on the label of this beer. I just found that odd since I thought virtually every product had a UPC.
