Commercial Description:
Amber in color, our India Pale Ale exhibits great underlying malt characteristics- smoky roasted notes with fruity accents and a slightly buttery character. Yet the flavor predominates with a lush layer of hops resulting in a wonderful aroma and taste- citrusy, floral & oh-so spicy.

Poured a golden/copper body with a small white head. Feint hop aroma. Flavor was a little on the malty side with just hints of hops here and there. Not very exciting.

Small amount of hops in aroma and taste. Hints of some malt, but pretty much everything is eventually overpowered a distinctive metallic presence.

Appears a hazy orange amber with a small white cap that fades into a small collar. Mild spotty lacing is left around the glass. Smell is of of caramelized & roasty malts with mild grass notes. Taste is of the same aromas...nothing special. Run of the mill style IPA. Mouthfeel is dusty, metallic, bitter, and mildly sour. I’m glad I wasted $5 at Michael’s Deli, who manages to rape everyone who wants to buy beer there.

Poured a copper color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus fruits, wood, and caramel malts. Taste of citrus fruits, with some light tartness, caramel, tinny abrasiveness, and low bitterness.

Thanks to weeare138. Pours a translucent golden orange with an average bubbly white head. Aroma of light hops with a malty sweet mix. Flavor was malty, sweet, hops not really present anymore with some metallic.

Cloudy amber with a thick foamy head. Light hoppy aroma. Very mellow IPA. Malts way overshadow the hops. Not bad, just not an incredibly hoppy beer. Tast, but nothing special as far as IPA’s go.

Surprised this is so high... this is definitely a pale ale in my book. It’s funny that Weyerbacher brews two IPA’s... this one, a weak IPA or more of a pale ale, and Hops Infusion, which is burn-your-taste-buds-off hoppy. This is pretty good, just not hoppy enough to compete.

Very mysterious. It’s kind of like the hops packed up and left. Where are they? It seems like they were here, but they aren’t now. Kind of disappointing. Then again I am the first rating since November. It doesn’t seem as if the Weyerbacher IPA is really around anymore. Oh well
