Commercial Description:
Amber in color, our India Pale Ale exhibits great underlying malt characteristics- smoky roasted notes with fruity accents and a slightly buttery character. Yet the flavor predominates with a lush layer of hops resulting in a wonderful aroma and taste- citrusy, floral & oh-so spicy.

strong odor of hops, slightly spicy nose as well. color is pretty dark for an ipa, medium brown, a little cloudy, pretty much no head at all. taste starts with all the hops one would expect, and then gives way to some malts and ends with some spice tones. I would place this in the "very drinkable" class of ipa’s that i have had....the malts that come through help it out alot.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber color with no head to speak of. Nose is like a British Pale Ale in that it lacks all of the citrus and pine that we have in most U.S. IPA’s. A little smoke in the aroma and whatever hop it is that brits use in their pale ales.... Kent maybe? Let’s begin.... decent mouthfeel and body, but nothing that will knock your socks off. Taste is immediate bitter, but without great malt sweetness or hop flavor. It finishes well and gives you a secondary hop flavor on the burp (that’s a technical process.. "on the burp"). Not too shabby, but my tastes favor a cascade and centennial hop flavor in my pale ales. Nice sort of spicy bite to this one. They use some of the same hops in their Hops Infusion, and whatever hop it is, it takes over and dominates a bit too much of the brew. It’s drinkable!

Deep golden copper color, citrus and slight apricot through the nose and taste. Lingering bitter finish. Thanks Drew.

Bottle. Pours an amber color with medium tan head. Aroma is of fresh grassy hops. The hops are VERY intense and overwhelm the taste. There is a hint of maltiness. Starts off a little sweet but the very bitter finish results in a very dry palate. I could use a glass of water now. If nothing else, at least the label on the bottle is one of the coolest I’ve ever seen.

Copper orange clear with a few straglling bubbles rising up into the thick cobwebs clinging to the glass. Aroma is herbal and pine - strong enough to get your attention. Taste is assertive but balanced - hops start strong but mellow out in the back. Finish is dry, sticky and juicy.

Bottle: Hazy light copper hue with initial large fomay head which settles into a long lasting ring and good lace. The aroma has notes of piney and grasyy hops, butnt and caramel malts, a touch of clove and earthy yeast esters. The taste starts very balanced and smooth, good malts character with the bitters. The finish displays a spicy note, some yeasty and chalky undertones, and a smoky twang. Good depth for a basic IPA. The feel is very crisp and bold, yet not over the top. Overall, an above average IPA with perfect balance, not a bunch of hop juice. Thanks DocLock for the surprise.

Possibly one of the best looking IPA’s i have ever seen, great dark amber color with a creamy light tan head. Aroma was floral and pine, taste started out intensely hoppy, almost nothing else noticed for the first two sips. As i became used to the intense hops i began to notice some malt flavors. Finish continued to be bitter, but not as intense as the first few sips. Went quite well with my steak.

Good amber color and a thick head on top. The aroma is a but more hearty for an IPA. It has a slight bit of nut or wood in the aroma, and not too much of a sweet citrus and floral small as expected. Flavor is similar, but has a definite hop feel. This is one mighty drinkable IPA, as it doesnt seem to over do anything, and keeps a decent balance in it.
