thick appearance while pouring and a murky brown/orange under a medium sized creamy beige head. aroma is dominated by bourbon barrel with some hoppy tones, marshmallow and bitter walnuts. vanilla, marshmallow, oak, taffy flavors. full bodied. warming but smooth finish. remarkable for being such a young beer with this abv.

22oz. pours a hazy copper with small head. aroma is sweet with vanilla, bourbon, and hint of oak. mouthful is smooth and sooo inviting. execlent balance... all the bigness is smooth and mellow. the blithering idiot is tamed and velvety smooth. IMO all the BA wyerbacher brews are so underrated (blasphemy, heresy as well!!). amazing stuff!!!!

2008 bottle, courtesy of TheEpeist, thanks! Malty, vinous aroma with raisin. Alcoholic flavor, sweet and slightly vinous with raisin, dades, dried fruits and mango. Just a hint of oak. Peppery. Tasty and warming. Satisfyingly balanced beer.

22oz bomber poured into a snifter. Pours a slightly hazy brownish amber with a rocky off-white head that lingers as a cap for a while and leaves good lacing. A constant stream of bubbles comes to the top. The aroma is sugary sweet with some decent caramel sweetness and molasses. Cherry fruit sweetness in the nose along with tons of other dark fruits as it warms, especially plums and raisins. The taste is bigger and more boozy than the aroma with the huge caramel malt backbone. Good bourbon presence in the finish which leaves a significant burn going down. There is a good dry oak and vanilla presence from the barrel. Medium bodied with good carbonation for the style. This is a very tasty barleywine with tons of dark fruits and lots booze in the taste. Not the best I’ve ever had, but a very good beer.

Nice dark reddish/brown in color. Small head that fades away rather quickly. The beer is translucent. Failry good appearance. Sweet and sour bourbon aroma. Very pungent aroma. The aroma is nice, and I can tell the beer was aged in bourbon barrels. This is the second Weyerbacher beer that I have had that has a strong aroma/flavor of bourbon. It is very nice! Awesome sweet wood/bourbon smell. Alcohol is noticeable. A very sweet and malty barley wine with a heavy vanilla/bourbon-type sweetness. This is something new that I have had in a barley wine, as far as flavor is concerned. Very strong flavor. Could be used as wouthwash. Nice sweet sugary tasting beer. The beer has a nice palate. I am getting more and more drunk as I am writing this so it ends with, good beer with a lot of alcohol that has an awesome bourbon flavor.

Courtesy of Tony @ OTH. Another insane strike by Weyerbacher. This beer is pure goodness. Pours hazy orange with beige head. Aroma had a good coconut nose with like wood oak chips for a light bourbon addition. Taste is similar, boozy, coconut/vanilla, bourbon, some dark fruits, malts some hops in the finish. Overall the addition of oak bourbon makes this one, an awesome offering.

650 bottle at BA Decadence line tasting. Pours a dark brown color with an ample tan head. The aroma was of boozy oak. The taste was similar to the aroma, lots of boozy oak with hints of dark fruits around the sides. The mouthfeel was smooth and full. The finish was moderate with lingering alcohol. Overall: Just a bit too much distracting alcohol showing thru.
