Bottle, thx to the epeeist. What a trader! It’s an orange-golden beer with a reddish hue. A small, dense, beige head sits on top. A fine blend of alcohol, sugars, some cellar and dried fruits escape the glass and plays with my nose as it pours. Mellows out nicely. It’s warming and full-bodied on the palate, with alcohol, sugars, malts, caramel, dried fruits and a lovely American-style hopping. Long sweet finish with a generous amount of bitterness. Plain lovely. Annoying that I didn’t detect the bourbon-like flavors. Because of age? (not mine, the beers) (090116)

Tallahassee, Fl. - Liquor Loft - 22 oz bomber. Murky. medium copper colored pour with a tight white head - some lacing. Aroma has some good floral notes, hints of gumballs - the kind from the machines. Candied sugar notes, some bubble gum, hints of vanilla, toffee and just a hint of bourbon. Thick, rich mouthfeel. Unusual, but very good.

355 ml bottle, at tasting with yngwie, gunnfryd and Beer2000. Brown/dark copper color, fine, moderate beige head. Aroma is sweet malty, butter and hops. Flavor is sweet, woody and fruity. Hides the alcohol, but it is there. Extreme and very nice beer.

Bomber. Poured reddish orange with a small white head that faded quickly. The first thing to hit my nose is alcohol, followed by estery banana, vanilla, and oak. This is velvety smooth, thick, and oily. Sweet raisins, figs, and sugar are present, as well as bourbon notes in the finish. Alcohol is pretty well hidden. This is very nice, I like their stuff.

bomber. clear amber brown color with a solid tan head. wood, vanilla, alcohol and orange int he aroma. tastes are candy malts, caramel, bourbon and a hint of citrus. creamy medium palate. drinkable for a barley wine. good stuff.

Bomber, shared with Jake C. Appears creamy orange with a stick of yellow butter and minimal head. Aroma of both sweet and tart apples, hard candy, and alcohol. Palate remains soft and buttery, allowing the blended flavors of orange creamsicle, diacetyl, and cherry syrup. Insanity finishes with discernable warmth, but no trace of harshness. Overall, I enjoyed this fanciful brew for its strong-yet-mellow qualities and interesting buttery textures. But it falls short of the dynamism in flavor I look for in a premium big beer.

Via trade with nimbleprop I think. The pour was somewhere between orange and brown with nice clarity and a short off-white head. The aroma was malt, wood, bourbon and light tart fruits. The flavor was bourbon soaked fruit with lots of malt, wood and thin hops. Nice mouthfeel. Very easy drinking.

Snifter, from bottle. Pours deep orange color. Earthy oak, bourbon, some vanilla, dark fruits in the nose. Lots of whisky in the flavor, dates, vanilla, sweetness. Little fizzy on the palate, tastes a bit like a whiskey soda.
