Jan 23, 2009 Via trade with nimbleprop I think. The pour was somewhere between orange and brown with nice clarity and a short off-white head. The aroma was malt, wood, bourbon and light tart fruits. The flavor was bourbon soaked fruit with lots of malt, wood and thin hops. Nice mouthfeel. Very easy drinking.

Jan 4, 2009 Snifter, from bottle.
Pours deep orange color. Earthy oak, bourbon, some vanilla, dark fruits in the nose. Lots of whisky in the flavor, dates, vanilla, sweetness. Little fizzy on the palate, tastes a bit like a whiskey soda.

Dec 8, 2008 Pours orange with a nice tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of caramel, bourbon, raisins, wood. Flavor is sweet, maybe a little too much. Some bitterness at the end but not enough to balance it. Quite a bit of alcohol.

Nov 27, 2008 Tasting at Brewtopia. YUMMMMMM!!!! I just love bourbon aged beers and this one is no exception. Aroma of vanilla, caramel, oak, bourbon, syrup and dark fruits. Flavor is bourbon, caramel, figs, vanilla, oak and is just damn GREAT!

Nov 19, 2008 Pours redish orange. Smells heavily of oak, cherry and vanilla, spicey bourbon, plum and fig. Dark fruits an vanilla are prominant as well as bourban flavor. Not bad, the heavy alcohol warming on a cold winter night like a good bourbon.

Oct 19, 2008 Updated: Mar 14, 20092005 bottle thanks to JB175. Pours with a large, light brown head and a clear copper body. Aroma of bananas, dates, lots of raisins, vanilla, oak and some calvados, with brown sugar. Taste is alcohol, and very malty with raisins, and dates, and some bourbon notes. Syrupy with light carbonation.

Pours with a small, off-white head over a copper body. Aroma of barrel, honey, raisins. Taste of vanilla, wood, caramel sweetness and a ton of bourbon. Syrupy mouthfeel.

Oct 18, 2008 Pours dark orange with thick tan head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, toffee, and caramel. Taste has huge notes of bourbon and vanilla. Nice, thick, creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol burn in the finish. Very well done.
