Really enjoyed this beer...acquired in a trade with Tweety (trade with him if you get an opportunity). Burnt orange color with a nice off-white 2" head. Caramel, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, and oak...really tasty. Wish this was available in AZ!!! Interesting, complex, unique.

Orange color with white head. Caramel and sugar aroma. Vanilla, fruity, and winey flavor. Syrupy finish. Great barley wine.

22oz bottle courtesy Durhambeer. Was looking for a beer to offset a crazy day at work and the name was perfect! Dark caramel colored pour with a thin head. Huge oak barrel aroma, lots of bourbon and vanilla and hints of fresh cut wood. Big malt taste, slightly sweet and balanced by the strong oak bourbon character. Alcohol is subtle, you have been warned. Finishes with a hint of malt and bourbon. Very nice.

After having one glass chilled to the point where it hid all but the alcohol scent and flavor, I let the second glass sit a bit and am rating that. Poured a hazy tan/amber color with a nice cream colored head. Aroma was full of sweet vanilla malts and bourbon. Taste starts sweet melding into vanilla and finishes bourbon with a slight bitterness. Medium body with a smooth feel on the tongue. Bourbon finish hung around for a while. Reminded me of Cream Soda when I thought about it afterwards.

One of the best looking beers that I’ve ever seen. The truly mahogany complexion, thick ivory head, and the lazily drifting bubbles make this beer the official mold of a full bodied beer. Aroma is dark licorice, sharp sweetness, alcohol and unfortunately way to much wood. Not a bad smell, it just overwhelms the rest of the aroma. The flavor is of good rum and brown butter with the sweet richness of alcoholic ovaltine,a twinge of good piney hoppiness and again a bit to much wood. Mouth feel is unreal. This is the palate of a beer that only a genie could grant you, absolutely silky. Without the woodsy overdose this beer would be flat out amazing, still really good. From a bomber by the way.

Bomber. Pours a very carbonated cloudy amber with one finger tan head. Nose is sweet malt, oak and some mild bourbon notes. Taste is sweet malt, candied dark fruits, vanilla and a big bourbon alcohol finish. Medium creamy mouth feel. A little too much alcohol taste, but a good barley wine nonetheless.

Slightly hazy amber with a frothy head. Aroma of darkfruits, malt, and a mix of smells reminding me of apples. Sweet flavor with some bitterness and alcohol at the end. A warming and enjoyable brew.
