| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 30, 2008 Tap at Barcade. Hazy orange-amber beer. Fine-laced white head. Aroma is quite rich and sweet. Nutty malts, light rum-raisin, plum and sweet apricot. A bit of bourbony sweetness, some toasted malt and a vanilla/cherry soda-like flavour. Brown sugar, some strong oak and toffee. Sweetish, but with enough woody character to change it up a bit. Rich and well-balanced. Lots of bourbony sweetness up against the soft herbal bitterness and other sweet malts. Tasty. Amber red color and aroma of scotch and oak. The flavor is kinda plain, and the finish is all alcohol. Not that bad of a barley wine, I think it could of been aged for a little bit lager, i mean longer. Not bad would drink again with age. Insane beer, thanks again Tikie, You the man dawg now.
