Odense tasting: Unclear orange with off white head & no lacings. Very sweet alcoholic taste & feel. Vinous. Fruity feel as well. Like "The Wolf " says: After 30 beers this still was amazing. Sticky & full mouthfeel. Nice! Would like the hops to be a bit more visible though!

Aroma is of whiskey and coconut. Dark amber with a tall white head that leaves moderate lacing. Flavor is like whiskey, caramel and sweet...unpleasant. If I wanted to drink whiskey, I would.

Nice tasting beer with hints of a tropical getaway. The smell has nice hints of coconut, as well as the taste.

Bottle @ ChristianScheffel tasting. [thank you after4ever]Pours a deep orange amber with a rather small film head. Aroma is crazy - even after tasting lots of beers. Caramel, vinious, fruityness (both fresh and dried). Oily and thick mouthfeel. Flavour is based around a deep caramel sweetness balanced well by the woodyness from the cask. A really nice BW.

Simply intoxicating aroma. I love what the oak does to this beer. The hints of bourbon, caramel, and vanilla create a desire to taste. Just a hint of creaminess. Caramel finish. Different than other barleywines I’ve tasted. I recommend the adventure.

This is part of a beer club. Had only one bottle but was decent for the price. Poured great and had a nice finish. Would do again.

I’ve discovered that Barley Wines are just not my thing due to the overpowering alcohol flavor.

Bottle, courtesy of jcapriotti a couple years ago. Strong aroma of malt, vanilla, oak and then some burning fusal alcohol. Sampled from a large, blue plastic cup because I’m moving and my beer glasses are packed. It looked light brown during the pour. Flavor is interesting, loaded with toffee malt, some minerals, oak/vanilla and a grainy finish. Flavor is surprising, not as much alcohol noticeable as in the nose. Creamy texture, coats the mouth, a bit sweet, but there is a bit of bitterness that balances it well. Thanks Jason.
