| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 24, 2006 Lots of different flavors coming at you - malt, hops, caramel, wood, raisins... But it all seems to work. You do know the alcohol level is high, but if you are brave, it is definitely worth a taste. entertheiceman (242), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 22, 2006 Pours red on the edges and brown through the middle with a tan head. Instant whiskey aroma. Really hard to get past the fact this seems like Jim Beam mixed with beer but I did detect some huge malt and hop flavors albeit suffocated by the liquor and alcohol heat. Bitter grapefruit and alcohol finish. Nejhleader (930), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 12, 2006 Beer was a cloudy dark amber in color. Had a full tan head that clung to the glass. Rich malty aromas with some fruity aromas mixed in with a mild whiskey oak coming through. Good full malt body with some mild whiskey and fruit mixed in. A very complex beer but not as much whiskey barrel and vanilla flavors as I expected. KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 10, 2006 Updated: Mar 11, 200612 oz bottle: Pours an amber color with a hazy hue to it. Nice fluffy offwhite head (hazelnut). The head lingers throughout the entire beer and leaves remains along the side of my glass throughout the entire beer. The aroma is very caramely, woody, alcohol, green apples, raisins, and tobacco. The palate is creamy smooth. The taste is of tabacco, rasins, alcohol and wood. A little too much alcohol and rasin/prune taste for my liking. A complex beer, with a smooth mouthfeel. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 3, 2006 22oz bottle shared at my brother-in-law’s house. Pours amber and quite cloudy with a tan head that stayed pretty well and laced down the glass. Aroma is light caramel, a touch of vanilla, and some mild hops. Flavor starts out quite sweet, some caramel, oak, vanilla, then you are smacked by the sudden burn and strength of the alcohol in this brew. Smooth palate until the finish which is quite alcoholic.
