Pours a dark amber with a minimal amount of head, yet it laced the glass quite well. Aroma is mostly bourbon, but there is something else lingering that is very light. It could be vanilla, but I am just not sure because the bourbon is just too strong. The taste is malts, wood, and bourbon. I am pleasantly surprised with this brew. From the aroma, I expected nothing but whiskey. However, the sweetness and other tastes round well together.

Bottle. Pours amber orange with a beige head. Sweet malty aroma, with bourbon, fruit and raisins. Bourbon and oak feature in the flavor, with sweet malts and dark fruits. Good, but not all that impressive.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Poured a dark copper . Very sweet nose with hints of the barrel aging, and alcohol. But to be expected at 11%. Very smooth and tasty, but very sweet this young.

Bottle from Wegmans in Princeton, NJ. Deep amber color with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, bourbon, oak, and dark fruits. Flavor is more of the same with the bourbon really standing out and notes of fig, date, and vanilla. Smooth, fairly full and syrupy palate.
