Commercial Description:
Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple.
At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation. We suggest storing at cellar temperatures -around 55 degrees F- and away from light.

Pours an attractive cloudy orange colour with a fairly large white head. Aroma is sweet and enticing, almost nectary- honey, maple syrup and candy. Mouthfeel is full and well carbonated, with semi sweet, acidic wheat taste all the way through. Nice beer!

Hazy golden/amber color with thin white head. Yeasty and sweet fruity aroma and flavor. High carbonation, not as drinkable as other tripels I’ve tried.

12oz pour to a Chimay glass. Awesome fluffy white head that came around after a rough pour. Popping the cap, the beer seemed under carbonated but like Tripels I’ve made myself, it is deceiving. Nice nose of strong Belgian Ale yeast and the spice created from it. This beer was perfect + needed no aging as suggested. The abv was slightly apparent but welcome and soothed the soul on this windy, stormy day here in the northeast of the U.S. By perfect, I mean for a brewer from Easton, Pa. This beer is worthy of a rating far higher than the 75% overall that it is currently ranked. I live within 40 miles of this brewery and I can’t believe this is the 1st time I’ve tried this awesome beer. I found this bottle at the local deli (in Pa it takes a special dispensation from the Lord Almighty to be able to sell a single bottle of beer for take out/away!!!!). I’ve seen it by the case for quite a hefty price. I will now consider buying a whole case at that price. I would be a merry customer for sure.

pours a hazy copper, small head. aroma of yeast and sweet fruit- somewhat like a witbier. solid taste- yeast stays, along with the fruit, and the mouthfeel is pretty solid. I feel this beer is slightly underrated. Not a bad offering from weyerbacher.

slightly hazy gold with lots of lacing under a medium sized, creamy, head. light fruits, yeast, sugar, banana aroma. flavors of banana, yeast, candy sugar, bubblegum. a grainy aftertaste. creamy medium bodied palate. an excellent done job well. - re-rate- aging after 1.5 years....none detected.

The aroma is very much like bubble gum with cloves, spice, and malt. The appearance is cloudy gold with a hint of orange. The head is average for the style. The flavor is like the aroma with fruit. The palate is smooth. Overall I am surprised how much this is like a hefe.

nice beer, the aroma is of clove herbs and bubble gum. great tasting malts, the rest of the beer gives a joyous occasion with fruity flavor and high carbonation.
