Commercial Description:
Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple.
At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation. We suggest storing at cellar temperatures -around 55 degrees F- and away from light.

bottle. Pours a thick hazy amber color with a thin fizzy head. Aromas of fruity sweet esters, some bready yeast, and booze. Booze disappears in flavor, replaced by a smooth, thick, sugary sweetness. PLenty of spice notes as well, some coriander, cloves, and black pepper. Tangerines and rock candy sweetness. On the thick and heavy side on the palate.

Bottle pours out an orange with some amber topped with a white head. Aroma of yeast and fruit all over this one. Tast more of the yeast and sweet fruit. i also picked up plenty of spice and clove.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden with a small white head that fades to a ring. Aroma of candied citrus, sweet pilsner malt, honey, and coriander. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and slightly spicy finish. Good.

I was really disappointed in this beer, it has a very sticky and overly sweet taste to it, which ruins an otherwise good tripel. Lighten up with the Belgian Candy Sugar guys.

12oz bottle from Kingdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark cloudy amber color with a thin off-white head that quickly reduces to nothing. Smells sweet and malty with notes of caramel, wheat, ripe green grapes and honey. Flavor is sweet and syrupy with notes of honey, spice, hints of citrus and grass. Medium-bodied with a ting of sweet alcohol on finish.

Pours a translucent orangey yellow color with an aroma of oranges, honey, and some spice. The flavor is much the same with a slightly dry finish. Nice, lively carbonation, the finish lingers with a bit of bite, but other than that it is a good Tripel.

12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick white head and lots of sediment in the glass. Sweet malt, fresh peeled oranges, candi sugar aroma. Taste is spicy hops, candy sugar, slightly hot alcohol balanced by the malt. Has a nice belgian triple finish that is clean with a hint of bitterness. Be careful, the sweetness has a way of hiding the 9% alcohol. Not the best Triple but tasty.
