Commercial Description:
Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple.
At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation. We suggest storing at cellar temperatures -around 55 degrees F- and away from light.

Fruity apple & plum with malt in the background. Very lively. Crisp ending sweet. The abv is hidden for a beer this bright and clear in taste & aroma. The color is all that gives it away considering the pilsener malt. Enjoyable.Too Sticky.

somewhat dark appearing for a triple with a dark golden hue. the flavor is nice, with some hints of clove. not an incredible amount of depth but a good shot for an american tripel

Pours right gold into a tulip. Head quickly subsides. Malt and candi aromas. Sweet and cloying with a dry lasting meringue finish and alcohol burn.

Poured gold with white head. Some lacing. Taste is sweet with a wine-like taste at the end balancing it out. Overall not bad.

12 oz bottle. Translucent golden yellow with a small head that fades almost completely. The aroma is Belgian all the way, with yeasty banana and spice, as well as alcohol. The alcohol is prominent in the taste as well, along with malt, sour apple, candi sugar, and a taste I can’t place, but which a buddy told me is found in a Reisling. Slight bitterness at the end, followed by an alcohol burn. Full body. Not bad - not one of my favourite styles.

Pours a clear golden color into the trappist glass. There was about an inch of tiny bubbles in the head, and very nice lacing. The scent was very bready with some malt, and candy coming through. A very drinkable tripel, but lacking the complexity that I look for in the style. A finish of some yeast, spice and alcohol.
