Commercial Description:
Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple.
At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation. We suggest storing at cellar temperatures -around 55 degrees F- and away from light.

Slight hazy golden honey hue, with an off-white head, yeasty sweet pale malt, with a fruity note of ripe apples, coriander spiciness, faint floral hop accent, with a subtle honeyish aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with yeasty fruity alcoholic warmth character, with some sweet pale malts, a mild honey flavor, with some ripe apples and pears fruitiness, spicy coriander, warm alcoholic mouthfeel, leading towards, a fruity, pale malt and an alcoholic warmth finish.

Pours amber yellow with a thin white head. Smells of coriander and buiscuity malt with some clove and misc. spicy elements. Taste reminded me of an over the top white beer more than a tripel with lots of citrussy elements atop some peppery earthy musky qualities. Too sugary on the finish.

Big thanks to Ty5592 for trading this to me. Pours a medium hazy orange with a fair sized quickly fading head. A big spicy ripened fruit aroma. Expecially bananna. Flavor is also ripened candied fruits and spices. Nice and malty and yesty too. Seems to be a really decent Belgian.

A good attempt to replicate the Belgian style. The pour was a hazy orange with a thin no lasting head. The aroma was of yeast and malt. The taste was true to the belgian style...yeasty with moderate spices and sugar. The mouthfeel was a little thicker than I would have liked and less carbonated than most belgians. Good nonetheless.

Pours gold with a small white head. Aroma of coriander. Taste follows aroma with some pale malt and orange. Drinks like an Imperial Witbier. Good stuff.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aromas of banana, candied orange peel, and honey. Flavors of clove, honey, vanilla, and dried fruits. Pretty dry and refreshing with a lively palate.

THOUGHTS: The aroma was pleasant but weak. Not much yeast either for a triple. Could also hide alcohol better. I like this one but prefer the more comples barrel aged version (Prophecy). Not bad but I’d rather have a true Belgian or at least a Unibrou or Ommegang. I really thought I would have rated this one higher because I always thought it was really good, but I never really sat down and thought about it like you do when you rate a beer. Good but not great. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, medium amber with a small, white head that mostly diminished. It also had great carbonation bubbles. The aroma was lightly malty with banan as it warms and apple and white wine. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, while the finish was lightly sweet and mderately to heavily acidic with an average duration. The body was medium, dry and slghtly syrupy with fizzy carbonation and a light alcohol finish.
