Commercial Description:
Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple.
At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation. We suggest storing at cellar temperatures -around 55 degrees F- and away from light.

This bottled brew from a rating party poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that was and left behind a transparent softly carbonated yellow-white colored body and a poor lacing. The aroma was malty mild hop banana and fruity. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of fruity mildly vinous and floral. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Hazed light gold body. Light soapy white head. Aroma is an assortment of spiced yeasty fruits (including banana and kiwi), and white wine. Flavor is decent, with most of what is in the aroma. It’s a good belgian style, and since its American I’m glad it isn’t too screwed up.

Got this at Beirkraft. A very thin white head. Golden color. Has a sweek almost wine like aroma. Nice tripple with hints of butterscotch. Very nice.

Golden color with a moderate off-white head. Nothing special to look at. Aromas again reveal nothing special. Apples, malt liquor, pale euro lager, hints of flowery perfume and circus peanuts. Pale malts and resin dominate the flavors. Esters and airplane glue course through the nose as I finish the nip. There are parts that are gentle and loving, others that attack and estrange. This is a beer with an identity crisis or just a PMS problem. The transitions form good to bad are swift and disturbing. Age may help this one, but avoid any hot flashes.

Large foamy white head atop an amber brew. Pear aroma, hint of bread. Sweet pear, slight quick bitter, malty flavor. Taste like a spicy pilsener.

Pours light golden, smalls white head taht fizzed away quickly, aroma of sourness and belgian yeasts, candy flavors, mild carbonation for a belgian style. some apricot and banana notes, pepper and spice, pretty drinkable beer, would not have guessed 9.3% maybe like 7%

Bottled. Poured a clear, medium golden with a short-lived cap of fizzy white head. The nose was quite fragrant and enjoyable, with notes of spicy light fruits, light bread, and sweet candi sugar. Lots of fruity sweetness in the flavor department, with pears, white pepper, cloves, and alcohol... decently balanced, but no "wow" factor. Surprisingly creamy on the palate despite the high carbonation... alcohol was complimentary... dry finish. Felt good. This was pretty good, and I would certainly drink again.
