Commercial Description:
Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple.
At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation. We suggest storing at cellar temperatures -around 55 degrees F- and away from light.

Fruit, malt, yeast and ahint of spice in the aroma, amber, pours a tiny cream head. Good malt start, citrus and bready. Medium bodied, pleasing mouthfeel, alcohol isn’t subtle. Nice, but a little strong in the delivery.

draught. Mr. Goodbar. slightly hazy golden-orange body with no head. aroma is very floral and fruity...with notes of cereal and peaches. flavour is very bready along with pear and apricot. lots of grainy soft biscuit flavours too. alcohol is evident but it’s surprisingly well-balanced for a Weyerbacher.

Draft, Baja Bean, Staunton VA. Golden straw color with white head. Yeasty nose of bubble gum, vinegar, and tart white/green fruit (grapes, apples, pears, etc). Flavor is initially an assault of sweet malt, bubble gum, and candi sugar followed quickly by a completely drying tartness of sour vinegar and yeast. Finishes very dry, and the alcohol is entirely masked. Aftertaste of dry wheat-like malt and tart fruit. Very enjoyable, a nice surprise on draft!

Courtesy of Firemoose15. <P> Sharp acidic fruits int he aroma...apple, pear and hints of young vinegar. Golden yellow with almost no head. Taste is stale fruits, vinegar and low carbonation. Definitely one of the least realized of their styles I have had.

Had a new bottle. Straightforward flavor, highly malty and somewhat sweet. blondish. Not as multidimensional as I expect a good triple to be.

Pours cloudy gold with a little white head. The aroma is crisp and acidic. Fruity aromas. Bananna, vinegar, and a hint of bubble gum. Lots going on in the aroma, but a little off. Very acidic, sour, and fruity. Odd combo of bananna and a sour vinegar taste. A little yeast character comes through. Not completely sure what they were trying. Has a hint of a golden ale but really is more of a gueuze with the sourness.

Peppery, spicy aroma. Pour is a deep, cloudy yellow. Flavor is mostly tart, fruity, lemony, not as spicy as the aroma implies, unfortunately.

Nice head. Initially like a yesty Unibroue, but then Sour and acidic. Not finishable. Too dry, too carbonated. cloves are shocking to palate. Lemongrass does only sour it further. Medicinal.
