Sep 11, 2005 whoa yeast, settle down. had some hops and some orange blossoms ,as well as some light vanilla bean and some oak. apples and pear juice and soime acidity. it was aight.

Sep 9, 2005 Diaphonous golden color with a minute white head that quickly faded. Lemongrass aroma. Citrusy flavors and not too sweet like some tripels seems to be. Not that old but the finish is well on its way to becoming dry.

Sep 8, 2005 A dirty orangish color that is very dull and only semi transparent. I got some orange in the aroma, very light and maybe some yeast, but more of the citrus. The taste though was kinda bland with kind of a red apple feel to it.

Sep 5, 2005 Cloudy light auburn color with thin, white head. Strong malty smell with a sweet heavily malted flavor. Bittersweet aftertaste. Did not meet expectations, but was enjoyable nonetheless.

Sep 4, 2005 Pale cloudy light auburn colour with a bubbly white head. The nose is citrusy with yeasty hints and light fruit. The body is somewhat thick with yeast and hints of citrus. Light hint of wheat in a timid and lacking finish. Unspectacular at best.

Aug 29, 2005 Hazy and light orange; OK head. Sharp, fizzy carbonation. Light fruits -- faint elements of passion and pear. Aromas of alcohol blended with light spices. Dry cracker-like malts at times. Nothing about this beer really struck me as exciting; not too bad, though.

Aug 28, 2005 Light gold color. Cidery, plastic and glue laden nose, with hints of apple and pear. Pretty vibrant, but not exactly nice smelling. Sweet tasting, with an undeniable plastic feel in both the flavor and aroma. Mostly apple and pear flavors, with well hidden alcohol. But, this is a typical American Belgian creation, not that good.

Aug 25, 2005 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, blankboy & tupalev - courtesy of HogTownHarry. Bright gold colour with some floaties. Aroma of alcohol-soaked almonds, chalk, and yes, Popeye candy cigarettes (thanks to Harry for putting his finger on that one). Flavour is sour - tart apples, vinegar, bad cider - and a harsh alcoholic finish. If this had been a 7% beer, I might’ve liked it, but it displays the 9.3% way too much.
