Initially produces a good sized fluffy white head which fades quite quickly to a thin wisp. No lacing apparent. Loved the aroma of this one (dispite other reviews!). Lots of banana, bubblegum, vanilla, lemon rind, straw, freshly cut grass, flowers with a touch of an oaky chardonnay in the background. Lots of great aromatics going on here. Mouthfeel was moderately full and chewy with a lively carbonation. Taste is fairly sweet with a mild tartness revealing banana, spices, honey, vanilla, citrus, wood and chardonnay. Finishes with a mild alcoholic warmth and a lingering sweetness. Found it to be a nicely complex and satisfying Triple (again, dispite all the mediocre reviews!) beerbanker (1), South Carolina, USA does not count | 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Aug 4, 2006 This taste like a Flemish sour severely overpowered by bourbon. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2006 This beer pours light in color but somewhat cloudy; a bit of an orange tinge in color. Smells familiar; like a blush wine; semi-sweet. The taste was initially, disappointingly mild. Seemingly little taste with a slightly sour aftertaste; not bad just unique; like the taste you get in your mouth after chewing on an orange peel. It did grow on me though. Mouth feel seemed very thin. This style of beer (Tripel) is generally very easy to enjoy for me; so it was not surprising that I was pleased with one bottle, even though the next time, I will try a different Belgian beer or Tripel. Congratulations Weyerbacher Brewing Co. Prophecy is a good, very refreshing easy to drink (typical) Triple.
Hope this is helpful.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 28, 2006 Bottle. This one is subtle, but interesting. Different than any Belgian beer I’ve had. Looks like Budweiser. Earthy, salty, oakiness in the flavor with a mild sour note to finish. Very drinable and 9.3% is well hidden. Nice beer. jason (1623), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2006 Bottle. I enjoyed this one dispite what the mixed reviews have been. Odd tripel arom with a thin head that stays and clear golden color. Taste is oakey, vanilla, slight bourbon aftertaste, hint of uniq fruit and grapefruit and slightly orange taste. Almost reminds me of a sour ale. Strong alcohol taste makes it a sipper and otherwise enjoyable dessert beer. DYCSoccer17 (2198), Davis, California, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jul 24, 2006 22 ounce bottle purchased at Manchester Wine and Liquors. Estery banana yeast aromas, which become somewhat overpowered by bourbon notes. Quite sweet aroma that smells like banana Runts candy soaked in bourbon. Transparent, filtered golden color with a whitish head. Banana, yeasty flavors to start. Turns very bourbon-like with an alcohol burn in the mddle. Fruity, milky finish. Very milky. This beer is a fricken mess. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 23, 2006 Updated: Jan 8, 2007Obviously very similar to the merry monks (since thats what it is + oak barrel aging). Oak taste adds to the experience, but by and large the same. Came from the brewery, so maybe aging would improve it even more!?
