Orange color with small folaters, small head that faded fairly fast. Sweet and tart flavors at the same time, the belgian yeasts are showing through in the flavor. The bourbon barrel flavor is there but not as pronounced as I would like it to be. I have found Weyerbachers barrel aged beers do varry on the intensity of the barrel flavors. That is one factor that is probably hard to duplicate as a brewer as the barrel flavor will very from the whiskey barrels. Overall a good trippel. frylock (1026), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2006 Golden body with a small white head. Yeasty aroma with notes of oak, vanilla, and bananas. Lighlty tart, some oak and doughy malts. Hints of sweet pineapple are followed by a dry oaky finish. More balanced than the other oak aged Weyerbachers I have tried. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, fruit salad, some citrus hops, SuperBubble, wood. Medium body with minimal carbonation and a tad watery. The taste held hints of the fruit sweetness and the bourbon warmth. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

The new fad must be to take your beers and age them in bourbon barrels, but seeing as how I cannot drink bourbon due to college years, I am not really sure how I constantly find myself buying these kind of beers... Pours out yellow in color, taste is sweet and fairly thin. Has that bourbon kick to it too. Not really that bad, I finished my bottle with a few grimmaces, not too many. footbalm (1219), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

was not overwhelming but I did seem to get a little spice and fruitiness.
