(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of xproudfoot - thank you Chris. Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. The aroma is pure bourbon. Full body with sweetish malts and then all these wonderful bourbon notes. What a weird idea to bourbon barrel a Tripel, but the end result is simply fantastic. Yum. 291206

cloudy yellow, wispy head, light lace, sweet fruity spicy aroma with a bit of vanilla, sweet spicy flavor with nice vanilla but only a hint of oak, an improvement over the typical triple, creamy vanilla grows, as always it turns into creamy oak and vanilla with just a bit of spices

(22oz bottle) Sparkling clear apple juice body topped by big off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, bourbon, oak, light apple. Taste is moderately sweet, apple, lemon, some oak, finishing with oak and mild bourbon. Medium-full body, low carbonation, surprisingly drinkable. Taste bordered on a cider. As for what happened to that tripel that was there

Bottle. This is a strange beer, but a good one, it pours golden with a big white head. Heavy wood aroma light fruity with some coconut. The taste is sweet malty with wood and fruits, some alcohol. Medium to full body with a sweet alcoholic finish. I like it, even though it´s a strange trippel.

(Bottle) Pours a lightly cloudy golden body with a small white head. Aroma of vanilla, banana, and butterscotch. Flavor compliments aroma with some fruitiness.

Poured a lighter golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of bourbon, fruits (apples?), wood and caramel. Tastes of bourbon, fruits, vanilla and spices. This was much better than the regular Merry Monks. Very easy to drink. I could see myself putting down a few of these in a sitting (gotta watch it thought with the 9% abv).

Clear light golden, gentle white head. Sandy goldings come up the nose which is heavily whiskeyish through its harsh alcohol fumes. Another fuelic weyerbacher. Ultra sweet palate despite the moderate hoppinbess. Peaty yet pale, call it earthy. Almost oaty, biscuity breadiness. Interesting hop flavors of orange, apricot, but the damage is done. Heavy sticky and hoppy finish, slick palate, low carbonation.
