Commercial Description:
Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

12oz bottle. Bottle begins to foam over the lip before I get the chance to pour. It pours a deep orange-brown - lighter than expected and slightly hazy - with a medium-thick but short-lived off-white head. The aroma is singularly Belgian with strong fruity esters, hints of tart fruit, malts, and alcohol. The nose also has pleasant hints of fine, aged Rum with orange liqueur, and Marsala wine. The flavor starts thick and complex with lots of fruity esters and sweet malts that provide some notes of caramel. At mid-palate there is a soft and balancing bitterness, spicy phenols (subtle pepper) and fruity esters, and sweet delectable malts. The finish is full and warming with a pleasant Belgian ester profile and sweet malts. The mouthfeel is very full and sticky with a level of carbonation that is crisp but much lower than expected based on seeing the bottle begin to spontaneously foam over... Overall, a very nice Belgian strong ale - delicious.

Thanks to jjpm79 for the bottle!
Pours transparent tan/nut-brown with a small, bubbly head that I coaxed from it. Nose is very sugary, a little wood, raisin, and alcohol also present. Less alcohol in the flavor, though warmth brings it out. Body is a little thin. Overall decent, but not a monster in its respective style. Kind of reminds me of Belzebuth.

Pours hazy brown with minimal head. Aroma is of nectar, and citrus with some fruity juicyness. Sweet malt comes in as well. Flavor is sweet, malty, and mild. Caramel sweetness with some sweet fruit. Palate is a bit thin.

pours a copper brown with very minimal head. Aroma has definite traces of alcohol, plum, peach, and some vinous notes. Flavor is tasty- somewhat unrefined for a quad but still very solid. The alcohol warms the palate quite nicely, and the sweetness cuts the aggressiveness to make it really qutie drinkable. Palate’s nothing special, but not bad. Good beer.

Pours with a beautiful honeyed-vermillion body. A watery, off-white head falls quickly to halo, but swirling re-activates a thin film and shows this beer’s thick legs. Aroma is both sweet yet tart, fruity overall, and shows increasing diversity as it warms. Apple, banana, alcohol, taffy, caramel, spices, florals, cinnamon roll. Deeply layered. Thick & smooth in the mouth with a slight bite and a mild burn. Warming. Yeasty, malty, big on the ABV. A little too thick on the palate. Yeast tartness in the finish. Yum overall.

From bottle. Has a mild vapory quality, light alcohol, with fairly heavy malty character. A bit of light hops to it. A bit of fruity esters, brown sugar and some caramel. Light notes of Twizzlers. Dark amber brown clear, with an off-white foamy lacing head. Medium-heavy body, with medium carbonation and some decent alcohol warming. Starts pretty sweet with caramel malt, tons of brown sugar, alcohol, light fruity esters, and some dusty grain. Bitter hops towards the finish with a chalky bitter after. A little raw, this one. Could be aged for a while, I think, but there’s still a rough quality to it that may not get any better.

12 oz bottle thanks to FlacoAlto. Nice dark fruit aromas. Raisin, molasses, and touches of sweet cherry. Flavor fell off a bit with similar flavors and then a touch of alcohol in the finish. Not to shabby.
