Clear light to medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted. straw, malt dust, dusty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (290308)

12 oz bottle from a trade with franksnbeans. pours clear amber with a small tan head. not very quadish in appearance. aromas of dark fruits and booze. flavours are similar dark fruit booziness but the alcohol is more tame in the flavours then the aromas. if this was toned down to around 8% itd be an enjoyable BSA but as is its nothing more then a quick buzz.

Weyerbacher Quad is good and strong. 11.9% and you can pick up on the alcohol in the aroma

Bottle. Copper colour with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malt, fruit. Flavour is alcohol, fruit, hop, dried fruit. Too strong , but still an OK beer.

Bottle. A clear, copper-colored body topped by a minimal-sized off-white head. Sweet on the nose, very malty, with lots of dried fruits. Sweet and malty flavor too, with a very evident alcohol flavor, dried fruits and some caramel. Full-bodied, sweetish and warming in the mouth. The finish is long, with dried fruits, sugar, caramel and alcohol. It’s sure a lovely beer, but the alcohol is a bit too evident. On a cold evening that can of course be nice, but I would like it a bit toned down. (080301)

Pours bright orange with good clarity. Thin off-white head clings to the edges of the glass with suprising good retention for style. Very strong fruit notes of plum and rum raisin. Smells faintly hot but alcohol is very noticible in the flavor and verging on unpleasant. Half decent but not my favorite weyerbacher brew.

Pours a light amber with a small foam head & some lacing. Aroma of raisins, resinous barleywine-like character, and alcohol. Tastes strongly of alcohol, fruity notes but a bit watered-down and bitter. Thin with not much in the way of carbonation. I do like the warm finish, but otherwise I’m not a big fan of this quad.

Pours a light garnet with small but persistent pure white head and slight lacing. Nose is rich dark berries and cough syrup, with a vaguely plasticine yeast tone that I’ve noticed in other strong Weyerbacher brews. Very rich and syrupy on the palate, with hints of banana and pear, treacle alcohol, and a bracing, warming finish. A decent, if overly potent, quad.
