Commercial Description:
Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

Caramel color. Smell of light bananas, caramel, spiced apple, brown sugar, nuts, malt, honey, dark fruit and yeast. Tastes the same with prunes, alcohol and pepper coming into the picture. Very sweet and it goes down smooth.

Unfortunately, I had this at the end of a long beer-drinking day, so I think my enjoyment of this may have been a bit tainted, or tilted. : ) Mostly, I just remember this is as being thick and very spicy and a pretty tasty brew.

Pours amber with small head. Aromas of fruits, malts, and alcohol. Taste is much the same with a very smooth alcohol finish. A good beer but more like a barley wine than quad.

First of all, this is not a quadruppel. Much more a barley wine. Small head, coppar color. Sweetness, fruits, hops, spices. Everything what a good barley wine should be, but no way near a quadruppel

Pours a murky copper color with a very thin white head. Moderate aromas of spice, yeast, sweetness, a little phenol. Nice thick palate, not overcarbonated. Taste is fruity, aweet, and the alcohol is pretty well hidden. Better than I was expecting, but lacks complexity.

Pours dark amber with a tiny white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity (raisin and figs) and alcohol. Flavor is also sweet with a pretty strong alcohol presence. Dark fruits dominate the palette. Very good for sipping, but very strong.

Bottle; pours amber with smallish white head. Aroma of dark fruit, spices, malt, alcohol, and some sweet fruit. Initially alcohol present; fades with time. Flavor was alot of dark fruit, yeast/cotton candy, and spice. Not too sweet. Brown sugar in the mix too. Really enjoyed this one; 1 before I hit 500.
