Commercial Description:
Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

Bottle at the Brickskeller in DC. Slightly hazy reddish-brown color with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet malt, banana, dark fruits, and brown sugar. Flavor is somewhat similar, very sweet with lots of dark fruits and noticeable alcohol. Palate is medium-full and somewhat syrupy with medium-low carbonation. Not exactly up to trappist standards, but decent nonetheless.

Pours a cloudy brown with a thin off white head. The nose is spicy with hints of cardamom seed and coriender and full of hop, rasins, brown sugar and bananna esters that pop in your nostrils. As you sip on it the flavor sticks to your palate like sticky toffee with toasted almonds. It is quite boozy and now i know why they only sell them in four packs. Overall it has great carbonation and an long lasting flavor with the right amount of hop bite.

Pours a dark amber with a small, yet lasting beige head. Nose of raisins, dark fruit, banana, brown sugar. Taste similar to smell. Starts out with raisin, then sweet malt, yeast, caramel, finishes with slight alcohol (less as the drink warms), with almost no noticeable "warming" feeling, which shocked me, as this has 11.9%abv. Overall a very enjoyable Quad, not the best I’ve had, but certainly worth having again.

Bottle. Big alcohol-forward nose with some yeast and a touch of banana. I can’t quite tell if there’s a bit of cloudiness in this one or if it’s just a very dark, brassy color. As I drink it, it hits with a lot of sweetness, then some dough, and finishes fairly hot. Not the most complex or rich quad out there, but I enjoyed every drop.

12 oz bottle served in a clear pint glass. Pour light murky brown with a thin layer of white head. Nose is Belgian yeast, summer fruits, and malt. Taste is a malty Belgian brew with notes of light fruit (especially banana). This is another great beer from Weyerbacher, probably in my top favorite three or four beers.

Smooth light aroma of brown sugar and Belgian yeast. A copper pour with almost no head or lace. Taste of brown sugar and a hint of rock candy. Medium bodied with good carbonation.

A hazy orange brown beer with a small tan head that doesn’t last. Aroma is fruit, plum, raisin, fig, and serious banana. some bready malt and yeast. Flavor is more malty, some caramel notes, molasses, raisin, a bit sweet. Thick and chewy mouthfeel. Hardly a trace of the 12%.

Bottle Pours a murky brown with a thin off white head. The head lasts okay, and produces good lacing. Has a good aroma of sweet fruits, bubble gum, and banana. Has a good carbonation. The mouthfeel is good. Flavor is sweet on the lips and good alcohol burn on tongue. Has all the belgain traits. A good drinking beer. Has a full body. A resinlike texture. Has a solid strong finish with a good aftertaste. As always a quality product from Dan.
