Aroma of dark dried fruit, alcohol, malt, yeast, sugar. Same flavor. Aftertaste includes yeast, alcohol, sweetness. Full, creamy body. Very good. Alcohol is overpowering. puzzl (2620), New York, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jan 11, 2006 Mid-dark copper color, pretty much no head. Aroma is sweet, musty, brown and candi sugar, cinnamon, a bit of alcohol. Taste is much sweeter, though has a nice malt base, lots of molasses, apple, cinnamon... wow, I can’t believe this is 12%! Not tasted *at all*. I would’ve guessed 6 or 7. Good stuff. acertain (249), Seattle, Washington, USA

Feel is quite carbonated. Taste is mellow, caramel; I enjoyed it quite a bit. imzugzug (103), Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, USA

The stench of rubbing alcohol and rotted muddled fruits assaulted my nose upon opening this highly anticipated brew. While the reddish color was pretty, I was too distracted by the STINK. Could hardly get this past my nose into my mouth, but once I did, boy did I regret it. I let the glass sit a bit, hoping it was just too cold, but nooooo...it was just awful. My first Weyerbacher to go down the drain. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 31, 2005 Bottle. Pours coppery with almost no head. Nose is lighter than expected, plums, other dark fruits, but light scents. Taste is somewhat sweet, fruity, a touch of maltiness. Nice clean finish. Call this Quad Lite. Good, but not as full bodied and flavored as the top quads. jrob21 (1268), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 28, 2005 Bottle at moms over christmas. Murky brown color that smells of plums. Complex taste, slightly sweet, smoky, malty goodness that coats the mouth. Sregnar35 (730), Rotterdam, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 27, 2005 Pretty damn good. Brown color, let’s some light through. Aroma is rotten apples an alcohol. Flavor is sweet caramel and candi sugar. The strong apple, fruity smell makes this beer worth trying, the flavor is nice too. CamdenD (606), Madrid, Spain

The taste is smooth and understated however. This is a drinkable quad -- well, almost, is a bit sticky/sugary, but damn, still good.
