Commercial Description:
Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

Dark and cloudy with almost zero head. Sweet, very malty but yet sharp taste, if you don’t like Belgians try this one and you might be surprised.

Cloudy brown pour with a ring of white lace. Good aroma of fruit jam, caramel, candy and alcohol. The flavor is good, the same elements can be found, fruit jam, caramel, candy and alcohol. The body is light with a liquorous texture and low carbonation. Interesting, it feels more like a barley wine that a quad but I like it.

Big banana nose and flavor. Out of all the so-called big beers this one actually does a decent job of combining many different flavors without killing all of them.

Pours a murky, dark amber/orange with a tiny head that died rather quickly. Aroma is tart cherries, banana, spice, sherry, vinegar and candi sugar. Flavor is candi sugar, toffee, some dark fruit, caramel, very sweet until a slightly sour finish. Texture is chewy, soft carbonation, long finish.

A great bronze color, gold and orange around the edges. A little head is present because it seems somewhat less carbonated than most of this style. The aroma is fairly complex. Fruity, malty, and alcohol. Sharp apple and vinegar aromas. The flavor is tangy and fruity. Dry feel and flavor. A faint bananna flavor. Quuite a bit of complexity. It gets sweeter as it warms, smooths out too.

good god, this is made in Easton Pennsylvania?!!!!!! there is something worthwhile about Pennsylvania after all. This beer is awesome, comparable to Three Philosophers, my all time favorite beer, but this could give it a run. Better than Rochefort 10. Excellent mouth feel - silky smooth, full bodied, slightly bitter and astringent, sweet, but not too sweet. Head effect is pure joy, light and laughable. I am happy. Weyerbacher will be spared when Armaggedon comes and taken directly to heaven.

Cloudy dark amber color with no head. The aroma is licorice, dark fruit, alcohol and candy sweetness. Light to medium body with a soft texture. Flavors are dominated by alocohol and black licroice. Okay beer, but lacking in any complexity.
