Commercial Description:
Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

12oz bottle. Dark amber pour with slight head. Tastes of citrus and raisin. Very much like a belgian style ale yet slightly different somehow. Alcohol was hidden but with so much it was still definitely noticable.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with a low off-white head. LIght banana aroma with a bit of sweet malts. Raisin, fig, and caramel flavor with yeast and dried fruits. Medium-plus bodied. Banana, clove, caramel, fig and date lingers. Alcohol well hidden.

11 ounce goblet - $8.25 at Taco Mac in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Near opaque, mahogany-hued body with an admirable half-inch of white head. Smell: Sweet-scented, toasty malts with a large aroma of caramel ice cream topping, juicy fruits, fresh-ground spices, some peppery alcohol wafts, and a faint, meager sniff of macaroons. Taste: Toasty, bread malts furnished with a bold candi sugar sweetness and fruity tastes of grape, concentrated fig juice, and a pinch of dried orange peel. Hint of almond paste. Spice character tasting of crushed cloves along with thin traces of ground allspice and mace. It’s about this time the warming, inviting alcohol presence slides in. Faint, nondescript bitterness midway. Later taste of spices, caramel slathered toast. Finishes fruity and warming with a slight yeast character. Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Worth a try. Though it’s not quite as graceful or as elegant as one of its Belgian brethren, it still remains a satisfying ale.

this is what a Belgian should taste like. the flavors of rich fruity flavors with a strong malts presence. the hops are minimal at best but the rest makes up for one you cant miss.

The aroma is very fruity with bananas, bubble gum, spices, and has syrup, malt, sarsaparilla, and yeast. The appearance is copper with an average head for the style. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thick and smooth. Overall a real winner.

(Rating #2317)

Pours a nice orange copper with a thick white head. Sweet malt, candy sugar and citrus, fruit aroma. Sweet malt, slightly boozy, candy sugar and citrus hop taste. Might be just a little too sweet, but very smooth.
