9.28.09 Tap at Shepherd & The Knucklehead. Had no idea of what this was before trying it. Upon the first sip said oh yes this is belgian style, but a little different. Interesting

Jan 1, 2010 12oz bottle from once upon a vine south. pours a hazy, peach toned copper with a thick, fluffy white head and a solid ring of lace. aroma is very nice with sweet, belgian candy sugar, clove bubblegum, and citrus notes of orange peel and lemon, with a touch of honey and dry grass. flavor is quite tasty as well with fruity notes of orange citrus, banana, and red apple, light yeast, and wheatgrass with a spicy touch of clove and coriander and a touch of sweet, floral hoppiness. palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied, dry, and crisp with a bitter, fruity finish. overall, an very enjoyable belgian pale.

Dec 21, 2009 Bottle. Sweet citrus (and orange peel specifically) with light candyish sugar and a Belgian strain. Orange-amber body, transparent, with a creamy, rocky beige head. Taste is bitingly dry (yum!) with pale malt and citrus. Touch of smooth wheat, lightly bready and earthy aftertaste. Prominent Centennial is well-chosen and working perfectly here, would love to see more Centennial/Belgian brews, but with more malt-forward styles. Rounded full body. Super dry, well-attenuated, fun adult brew!

Dec 19, 2009 On draft at Capones. Pours a cloudy orange with a medium sized off white head. Aroma of fruit, light spice, cloves, bubble gum and yeast. Taste of cloves, banana, bubble gum and yeast.

Dec 17, 2009 Gusher. Golden yellow with a quickly fading large off-white active head. Aroma of coriander, Belgian yeast, light fruit, grains and mild sugar. Taste of fruit, pale malts and yeast. Over carbonated with a mild bitter finish, not very good.

Dec 11, 2009 Consumed 9-12-09...bottle...Pours hazy orange/amber with a little foamy beige head....clove on the nose--faint in general....a bitter yeast flavor with a little metal on the finish...not a great representation of a belgian for me....too much bitter in the finish, and not enough sweet for balance

Dec 2, 2009 bottle poured a light amber in color with a foamy white head that left a nice pillow. aroma has plenty of belgian yeast, light spice, interesting floral hops, and mild fruit. flavor has some malt, grains, yeast, and hops. definitely belgian inspired but it retains some pale ale underneath.
