Bottle, from a shop in Antwerpen. Deep red brown, no head or condition.Sweet and woody in the mouth with a slight hint of apple, much the same in the mouth with a touch of alcohol apparent, sweet citric apple finish with some alcohol.

Clear brown with reddish shine. Sure looks like cognac. Very vinous nose, sweetness coming through but only just recognisable as honey. Tastes like a very sweet wine, honey comes through better, also notes of wood. Not unpleasant, but not really my cup of tea. I’ll stick to the beers...

Clear red-foxy amber. Very vinous, and brandy-ish, even like old brandy or Pineau des Charentes. Sweet, honey-ish smell. VERY sweet taste indeed. Honeyish character is unmistakable; vague yeasty notes, dates and dark candi sugar. Very sticky MF, slick, alcoholwarming. "Pittige" (hot) they say, but I would have liked it a bit drier. Very nice nose, however.

Amber color. Heavy spicy honey aroma and a fruity alcoholic taste. Medium to full body and a sweet warming alcoholic finish.

A clear amber colored mead. Heavy sweet honey aroma with plenty of spices. Sharp and rather alcoholic but interesting. Honey, dark fruit and berries in the sweet and somewhat sticky flavor with a long spicy finish. A nice and interesting mead, I wonder if this is the young version of the <a href=Beer-Reviews-42436-9058.htm>Weyn’s Mede Meer Dan 8 Jaar Oud?
