Commercial Description:
Whale Gulch Brewery is located at the edge of the Sinkyone Wilderness on Northern California’s Lost Coast. Water straight from an untreated mountain spring with a natural mineral balance ideal for brewing is combined with solar power, grain ,hops, and yeast to produce this fragrant pilsner-style ale. GOOD KARMA, GREAT TASTE!

Puchased from the North Coast Coop in Eureka, CA for $4.19 this offering is from a small brewery located in Whitethorn, CA, a small community located in the Calfironia coast range about 30 miles west of Redway,CA. From a 22 bottle, this poured a slightly hazy light gold with a very large fizzy head that settled fairly quickly and left minimal lacing. Fairly strong nose of hops and malts. A few odd odors sifted through. Mouthfeel was quite rich for a pils, and flavors were crisp with a little flowers and citrus. Finish was somewhat non-descript with nothing special happening. This is a decent and drinkable pilsner.
