Dark red brown. Rich dark fruits aroma. Sweet, slightly spicy taste, quite gentle and with only a little bitterness. Pleasant easy sipping ale.

Pretty much like the others say: brown colored, roasted caramel like aroma and flavor. Nice bitterness.
Too much to add, too little to say :)

Bottled. Clear brownish color, short head. Aroma of caramel and roasted malt, some hop. Taste is more like an old ale, bit sweet, caramelly, slight roasted, bit bitter.

Bottled@Poirotti’s Skotoberfest 2007. Surprise found among the Broughton’s. Rubyish amber colour with a small, but longlasting beigeish head. Sweet caramel malts and some slight hoppyness and raisins in the nose. Flavour is a lot of fruity hops, with some caramel malts and raisins. Aftertaste is like cherrycores. A really pleasant thing.

500ml bottle (Poirotti, Helsini, Skotoberfest 2007) Rich red, thin steady head. Sweet malty aroma. Very lively in the mouth. Fruity, gently malty taste, plummy and raisiny. Cherry too. Full-bodied but mellow taste.

500 ml bottle, bought in Edinburgh. ABV is 5.0%. Copper coloured beer, large and lasting off-white head. Malty aroma with vinous notes, also plenty of caramel, notes of bakery. Soft mouthfeel. Malty flavour with caramel and hints of dark fruits, but not as sweet as expected. Very moderate hops, the finish feels a bit "empty". Still a nice enough beer to drink.
