mcberko (118), British Columbia, Canada Oct 14, 2009 On tap - pours a golden yellow with a light head. Flavour is a little wheaty with mild hops. Refreshing, but unspectacular. BückDich (4767), McCall, Idaho, USA Oct 8, 2009 Tap @ BBF: Pale orange color with light head. Nose is not hoppy, but slightly earthy with light husk and malt. The flavor is thin and almost wheaty with a light spicy earthy note in the finish that might have been hops at one point. Finishes thin. troopie (848), USA Oct 2, 2009 Bottle. Poured dark gold with thick white head. Light malty aroma with a little spice. Light malty flavour with a little pepper. A bit of hop in the finish. humulushound (109), British Columbia, Canada Aug 31, 2009 Amber-colored with no head and a floral-fruity hop aroma and some caramel. Taste is darker malts with some spicy hop character but very little bitterness. Other facets of hop flavor were lacking. I will give it praise for going down smooth and quick but this did not exemplify its style. I found it thin and lackluster. Cirrhosis (607), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Aug 5, 2009 Very clear metallic brown body with the most pathetic film floating on top that you can imagine. The is disgusting smelling sour rotten vegetables with astringent, now doesn’t that description just want to make you go out and buy one of these. Overly sweet tasting with dark roasted malts some soapy hops and more rotting vegetables. When warm some defanent caramel started to show up and I just got a giant hunk of chocolate flavour in the last sip. Crap beer totally unpleasant to drink. MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Jul 15, 2009 Pouring an attractive amber hue paired with a so-so off-white head, I was treated to a chiefly malted aroma. Nicely malted was the taste, with a most agreeable mouthfeel and aftertaste. I did indeed like this beer, as ’twas not a watery pale ale like so many others. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 9, 2009 Draft. Poured a clear amber/medium orange color. The head was white and left some lace on the glass. The aroma was of spicy malt and subdued steeping barley. Light to medium bodied and delicately sweet up front. Dry-ish finish with spicy malt and toffee flavors. So so. patricks110 (274), Alberta, Canada Jan 17, 2009 Had in bottle. A pour of golden yellow with a white head. Aroma is hoppy and grainy with slight sweetness. Taste is hoppy with a taste of citrus and honey. Overall, a pretty average beer.
