Bottle... Poured amber with a thich, slightly off-white head. Aroma of tangy, moist grains. This beer was bordering a drain pour. Metallic and way off balanced, hops were muddy and gross. Stay away from this one.

2009 Bottle - Pours a celar lt brown with a medium white head...aroma is earthy malt and floral, rough grain...flavour is similar, abundant carbonation muddles the taste, but there is still some dry malt, light hops and toast...watery and thin on the end, this one had potential but didn’t capitalize...

On tap - pours a golden yellow with a light head. Flavour is a little wheaty with mild hops. Refreshing, but unspectacular.

Tap @ BBF: Pale orange color with light head. Nose is not hoppy, but slightly earthy with light husk and malt. The flavor is thin and almost wheaty with a light spicy earthy note in the finish that might have been hops at one point. Finishes thin.

Bottle. Poured dark gold with thick white head. Light malty aroma with a little spice. Light malty flavour with a little pepper. A bit of hop in the finish.

Amber-colored with no head and a floral-fruity hop aroma and some caramel. Taste is darker malts with some spicy hop character but very little bitterness. Other facets of hop flavor were lacking. I will give it praise for going down smooth and quick but this did not exemplify its style. I found it thin and lackluster.

Very clear metallic brown body with the most pathetic film floating on top that you can imagine. The is disgusting smelling sour rotten vegetables with astringent, now doesn’t that description just want to make you go out and buy one of these. Overly sweet tasting with dark roasted malts some soapy hops and more rotting vegetables. When warm some defanent caramel started to show up and I just got a giant hunk of chocolate flavour in the last sip. Crap beer totally unpleasant to drink.

Pouring an attractive amber hue paired with a so-so off-white head, I was treated to a chiefly malted aroma. Nicely malted was the taste, with a most agreeable mouthfeel and aftertaste. I did indeed like this beer, as ’twas not a watery pale ale like so many others.
