The is disgusting smelling sour rotten vegetables with astringent, now doesn’t that description just want to make you go out and buy one of these. Overly sweet tasting with dark roasted malts some soapy hops and more rotting vegetables. When warm some defanent caramel started to show up and I just got a giant hunk of chocolate flavour in the last sip. Crap beer totally unpleasant to drink. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 15, 2009 Pouring an attractive amber hue paired with a so-so off-white head, I was treated to a chiefly malted aroma. Nicely malted was the taste, with a most agreeable mouthfeel and aftertaste. I did indeed like this beer, as ’twas not a watery pale ale like so many others. GeneralGao (3078), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 9, 2009 Draft. Poured a clear amber/medium orange color. The head was white and left some lace on the glass. The aroma was of spicy malt and subdued steeping barley. Light to medium bodied and delicately sweet up front. Dry-ish finish with spicy malt and toffee flavors. So so. patricks110 (285), Alberta, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 15, 2009 Amber color with firm, thin head. Crisp and clean English hop aroma with a sweet honey malt note. Body is a good mix of grainy malt and restrained, but balanced Britt hops with a bittersweet grainy finish. This is actually a quite sessionable English Style Pale Ale, one of the better ones I’ve had. beerledgend (919), Waterloo, Wellington, New Zealand

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 21, 2008 7/9/08 On draught at FX McRory’s, Seattle, Wa. Aroma is malt forward, with a sweet biscuit tone, fairly light in intensity, but still with a good noble hop flora. Appearance is clear gold with a well maintained white head and good lacing. Flavor is sweet caramel malt forward with strong roast that merges with medium noble bittering. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a starchy finish and medium carb texture. Overall, a good bready roast character for a fairly light English pale.
