Has a slight malt aroma , trace of toffee with light hops in the nose. Flavour is of toffee malt, some grains, hops show up as a light grassiness with some vague orange notes. Medium body, light carboantion. TipsyMcStager (928), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 22, 2007 A sad product. Regardless of how its classified, if you’re going to call something a bitter, pale or IPA, there should be some hops. This tastes like a watered down amber. The lack of any type of finish results in a flat, listless and unimpressive beer. DuffMan (2756), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2007 Clear golden amber with a moderate, off-white head leaving no lace. Very nutty aroma. Nice toffee malts and earthy english hops with a mildly bitter finish. This was really great (english-style ales and true bitters are a rare breed here in Canada), but unfortunatly it seemed quite watered down. Still a very drinkable english ale. presario (2976), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 30, 2007 Brown bottle rather than the clear for the lager. Same classy label. Beer is almost the same colour as the bottle. Big delicate head. (every beer seems to foam up well in this Erdinger glass). Light woody aroma. Woody beer with a lasting light hop bite. A light bodied sessional with admirable flavour. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 3, 2007 Crystal and somewhat grainy pale malts with mild earthy, lightly floral hops. Slight haze to the clear golden body topped by a fizzy, low, off white head that recedes rapidly to a lasting partial cover. Flavour is pretty much as the aroma suggests with medium tangy bitterness. Medium light body with strong carbonation that is somewhat aggressive on the tongue. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle (BCLS at 39th and Cambie, Apr-07). I was just about to wonder how a beer made in whistler could taste like something other than starbucks, suvs, and filthy lucre when I realized-oh, it’s made in Kamloops. Seriously, though, this was a good ale. And Whistler is a very pleasant place year round.
