Bright copper colour. Light caramel and earthy English hop aroma. Light bitterness and a sligth caramel accent. Vaguely earthy finish. Clean, smooth. A somewhat "mainstream micro" character, it’s enjoyable when very fresh but may not translate well after a month or two on the shelves.

Amber coloured beer with an off-white head. Bottle looks better than the beer. Sweet pale malt aroma, grainy nose. A bit of woody hops. Falvour is quite sweet, a bit of apple fruitiness. Some woody hop flavour. Another middle of the road pale ale for BC.

Tap @ BBF: Pale orange color with light head. Nose is not hoppy, but slightly earthy with light husk and malt. The flavor is thin and almost wheaty with a light spicy earthy note in the finish that might have been hops at one point. Finishes thin.

Crystal and somewhat grainy pale malts with mild earthy, lightly floral hops. Slight haze to the clear golden body topped by a fizzy, low, off white head that recedes rapidly to a lasting partial cover. Flavour is pretty much as the aroma suggests with medium tangy bitterness. Medium light body with strong carbonation that is somewhat aggressive on the tongue. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle (BCLS at 39th and Cambie, Apr-07).

(341ml bottle) Purchased at the BC Liquor Store on Cambie Street in Vancouver. Clear bottle similar to those of Innis & Gunn; pours an amber body with a lasting, foamy white head. Nose of roasted malt and floral hops, this beer surprised me in that it was decent. I was anticipating a Sleeman-style beer without hops, without flavour. Some cidery sweetness amongst the English hop finish. Average.

Draft. Poured a clear amber/medium orange color. The head was white and left some lace on the glass. The aroma was of spicy malt and subdued steeping barley. Light to medium bodied and delicately sweet up front. Dry-ish finish with spicy malt and toffee flavors. So so.

Brown bottle rather than the clear for the lager. Same classy label. Beer is almost the same colour as the bottle. Big delicate head. (every beer seems to foam up well in this Erdinger glass). Light woody aroma. Woody beer with a lasting light hop bite. A light bodied sessional with admirable flavour.
