berkshirejohn (1763), Bracknell, Berkshire, England Oct 14, 2008 Keg at the Hope Inn, Hythe, Kent. Copper with a ring of white head; very lightly carbonated; simple malty aroma; malty, smooth and gently bitter; sweet to finish. Pleasantly drinkable. DerWeg (748), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 22, 2008 Pint can from Brit Shop in Leipzig brought home to Toronto! Pours med-dark amber clear minimum head and carbonation. I am tasting rounded light caramel malt profile, rounded lightly bitter hops finish medium-light body, slight vinegar aroma above palate on some sips. Not much going on but drinkable fare. kwoeltje (1313), Manchester, Missouri, USA Jul 8, 2007 Updated: Jul 11, 2007(draught - keg Woolpack in Braiborne Lees) Medium amber with small off white head. Malt aroma. Malt flavor with not much hops in the finish. hughie (3016), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Jun 22, 2007 Malty, slightly eggy aroma. Some sweetness in the flavour and minor bitterness. Actually the taste isn’t too bad; it’s just on a very small scale. Afterwards you wonder why you bothered. HarryFlashman (469), Chatham, Kent, England Mar 18, 2007 A standard (rubbiish) every day dirty northern bitter in the mould of John Smith’s and Tetley’s. Shit! harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Feb 13, 2007 440ml can from Sainsbury’s because they were selling off single cans for 58 pence each. Clear copper colour, lasting beige head. This was one of the first bitters I drank all those years ago. Not to many high hopes on opening this. Bit of creaminess on aroma. Faint hop, but not much else. Fine, but thin in the mouth. Some bitterness on the end, but no real character. Dull. maeib (4677), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Jul 17, 2006 Canned. An amber coloured beer which has no aroma save for water. The taste is boring and tinny. There is a little creaminess but otherwise it’s pretty crap. DJMonarch (6022), Northwich, Cheshire, England Feb 6, 2006 Keg Handpump at the Market Hall Inn, Newton Abbot 10/03/2003
Mid brown smooth on the palate and malty.
