Commercial Description:
Cask, Seasonal;
As the snow piles up against the door and the wind whistles over the Santa sized Chimney of the pub, it is time to find a beer of noble heart and passionate tradition. Chestnut red in colour the extravagance of this beer begins before you even raise it to your expectant lips, like the humble figgy pudding or perfect Christmas cake the explosion of flavour will transfix the tongue, warm citrus and candid peel flavours mix with the dryness of a drawn out fermentation. New season hops reach for the sweetness of the purest English malt to give the balance only a genuine drunk can achieve. As our White Horse slips on his jolly red nose for added seasonal cheer enjoy beer that brings back sweet memories of Christmas past!

Bottle. Golden with a surprising complexity. Fruity and earthy and definitely different. Sometimes Christmas Ales can be dissapointing-this one wasn’t.

Cask condition handpull at Rising Sun, Kemsing. Deep chestnut, lasting bubbly beige head. Bit of citrus. Astringent hop. Some choc malt in mouth. OK, best bitter, some nut. Hops have good sharp character.

Cask, Far From The Madding Crowd winter fest. Dark copper pour, sticky open cap of off-white head. Candied oranges, cinnamon, and a dark malty aroma--a nice wintery smelling ale. Resiny bitterness, dark caramel, lingering spicy marmalade. A nice viscous quality to the palate. A really nice unique addition to the White Horse line-up, and not just a hair-splitting variation on one of their regular beers.
