Bottle. Staleish aroma. Flavour is better, sweetish malt with a fairly bitter finish. Quite bland but quite drinkable.

[Bottle from Danny] Slightly spicey, notes of vanilla, caramel, dr. pepper, strange wet cardboard aroma. Light, caremel, dry, cardboardy.

Bottle. Amber coloured with swiftly disappearing white head. Aroma of sweet summery berries. Dry & fizzy on the palate and tastes alarmingly fruity; like a peach or raspberry fruit syrup with hints of stewed malt. As it warms some earthy, spicy hops emerge which improve things somewhat.

Bottle. Amber coloured with a slim white head. Unsettling malty aroma with a touch of peachy fruit. Pretty unpleasant burnt malt and stewed fruit taste. Poorly put together beer.

Bottle, from Tesco. Bronze gold, moderate white head and low condition. Gentle fruity peachy aroma with hints of orange and chocolate and background flowery hops, quite dry in the mouth with solid hop bitterness and an earthy maltiness tinged with orange and a suggestion of woodsmoke, lingering dry finish with hints of nuttiness and chocolate.

Aroma was a mixture of malts which didnt seem to go well together, also the hay from the hops was out of place a bit. Taste was similar a bit burnt parhaps over stewed for something as not really a great experiancein any way.

Bottle (From Tesco). After the high quality of the bottled (pasteurised) Oxfordshire bitter I was quite looking forward to this. Unfortunately it didnt live up to expectation - I noticed the bottle was a different shape to the bitter, perhaps a different contract bottler was used? Coppery colour. Some hop in the aroma slightly fruity, some green plant matter and hints of cardboardiness. Some caramelised malts come through in the mouth but there is a very unusual mouthfilling hoppy presence which isnt very pleasant, a combination of earthiness, fruit, spice and leafiness.
