Commercial Description:
Cask.
As local folklore has, it the Blacksmith Wayland Smithy had an apprentice named Flibbertigibbet. Now Flibberti was a simple character and whilst on his travels for supplies he was waylaid egg collecting, which led to his early demise. Fortunately for you our brewer was not waylaid and put all of his time, effort and ingredients into making this beer. A dark golden coloured beer, with a flurry of English hops that leaves you with an aromatic aftertaste.

One of the last couple of White Horse beers I hadn’t tried, this one has been alluding me for ages. Finally got to try it at the Oxford Beer Festival, way back three or four months ago now, and finally getting the notes entered now.

Copper, a few wisps of white soapy head. Light orange and warm bee pollen nose. Light lemon hop flavor, touch of resin. Orangy sort of sweetness. Pleasant, but at least based on this serving, not one of WH’s more interesting beers.

Cask in the new crown. Aroma is pale biscuity malts, citrus fruity hop character. Taste is balanced fruity citrus character with a small honey character off the pale malts. Good effort.

JDW, Dartford. After the Dartford Half.Pale, citric edged, English hopped dusty finished best bitter. Nicely straddling modern and traditional. Very good.
