Clean brownish orange color, ok head and lace, Bitter flavor. On the grassy side, still had some sweet malt about it. Thin body, lite creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Ok, I guess, I dunno, didn’t really enjoy it, Was kind of weak in aroma and flavor even for a "english" ipa. Nothing really made me want another and I didn’t.....

Aroma: Earth, spice, caramel, aroma is a bit muted, but decent
Appearance: Clear golden-orange
Flavor: Balance of earthy hops, and spicy malts, but lacking in hops
Palate: Solid mouthfeel, light-medium in body
Overall Impression:
One of the better things they had to offer on the day I visited, this beer is a decent IPA by any definition, but just a bit lacking in overall complexity and its hop profile. Nose was a bit too muted for me, and I just prefer a touch more hops from an IPA.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Orange-brown color. Mild English style IPA. Smooth and creamy, possibly fined. This is one of Maryland’s best IPAs in my opinion. Toasty and well balanced. Some light fruity malt esters. Right on. illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 29, 2009 Updated: Feb 20, 2009Draft at White Marsh. Pours amber with white head. Citrus hop aroma with some toffee-esque aromas hiding. Toffee and butterscotch maltiness countered by a spicy bitterness, with some leafiness as well. Some detectable alcohol on the finish. Hops seemed a little muted. But one of the better beers of the house lineup. CelticBrew (696), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 21, 2008 On tap at their brew pub (Red Brick at White Marsh Mall), came in a english style pint glass, a clear coppery color, nice decent size white foamy head. Aroma of pine straw and grasses. Flavour was that of a sweet malted IPA, grassy hops do come through, however mildly so. A decent, and very drinkable beer from Red Brick. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 8, 2008 Firkin @ DuClaw Real Ale Festival. Medium brown-orange color with a slight head. Grassy hop aroma, sweet malts (brown sugar) aromas. Medium body, slightly sweet, toffee body. Nice balanced hops. Lightly hopped compared to today’s hop bombs. Very smooth. Nice low carbonation. I prefer it this way to the traditional kegs/drafts. KnN (743), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 7, 2008 Had this on tap from a small keg at the Real Ale festival in Bel Air, Maryland. Poured a cloudy amber color with not much head to speak of. Aroma was full of grapefruit hops and caramel malt. The flavor was juicy and sweet with a good hop twist. The citrus characteristics of the hops really popped, but the sweet malt actually played pretty nicely with the hops. Good beer. Would like to try it again.
