Mar 16, 2005 Great vanilla aroma which certainly promised a lot for this beer, but it just never delivered. Kind of watery and lacking in malt and butterscotch flavors which, for me, are the sign of a great scotch ale.

Mar 16, 2005 RDF tasting with MJ: A nice red color improves the points. Very light for a scotish but at the same time I liked how drinkable is was compaired to some other beers that night.

Feb 8, 2003 Alright, thats about all I can say. It was nicely balanced. The malt was ever present (as a good scotch is) but the hop bounce in and out at as the brew ran passed your tongue. This brew, as every that I tried at red brick, was good and solid but nothing extraordinary. Good place to try if you happen to be in the area but don't go out of your way.
