| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 4, 2006 Pours to a reddish dark brown body with a thin white head. The aroma is vinous sherry wine, cherry skins, fingernail polish remover, some sort of wood is also prominent. The flavor is old dried-out wood, some sherry characteristics too. Lots of booze. Subtle cherry and vanilla flavors. The palate is medium bodied, sweet. Not bad for a cherry brackett. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 4, 2006 pours to a fizzy sound! Dark color’d pour a light brown w/ a small tan head. Aroma of honey, alcohol, oak, some dark fruits but I don’t smell cherries. Palate is of avg body but coats well. Flavor is highly sweet some lingering honey w/ a sweet cherry covered in honey and carmel front. Finishes hot showing signs of its alcohol content. Ok. Ughsmash (4027), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 28, 2005 14 oz. bottle. Poured a hazy, deep purplish/ruby/brown with a ring of beige head... left a lotta crud at the bottom of the bottle. Very fragrant aroma of heavy vinous notes, sherry, tart cherries, and a hint of oak. First impression on the palate was that this was more carbonated than I had expected... but it certainly worked. Tart sherry and cherry notes surrounded the tongue, with burnt oak coming through in the end. Finish was rather tacky, and felt like i had been chewing on a piece of an old sherry barrel. Honey was conspicuously absent except for some residual stickiness. I certainly enjoyed the change of pace here. TheEnemy (422), Chicago, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2005 14oz bottle Pleasant tart cherry, vinous, alcoholic aroma. Pours a dark ruby reddish brown with medium head and carbonation that stream up from the bottom of the glass even 20 minutes after it’s poured. Acetic flavor of dried apples & cherry, honey, tart cherry and a touch of wood. Medium body is slightly thin for a brackett. Alcohol warms on its way down without being harsh. Best served near room temperature. Pleasant enough drink that’s on the right track and would benefit greatly from a little more body. Glad I got to try it and sad to see it’s retired. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2005 Dark Red Coloring with White Ring. Dark, Dry Cherry Aroma. Cherry Notes, Deep and Very Dry...Honey, Vanilla and Bittersweet Tang at the End. Very Enjoyable Mead. badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 30, 2005 Dark red color with no head. Cherry is the dominant aroma, but oak stands out as well. The oak turns more burnt in the taste, blending in with the vanilla. Unfortunately, the cherry almost disappeared. It’s a tasty enough drink, but missing the honey needed for the mead and the promised cherry. CaptainCougar (5459), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 10, 2003 Pours a murky ruby brown with a nice puffy tan head. Sweet cherry grenadine aroma with mild hints of milk chocolate and honey. Thick, rich cherry body has a sticky sweetness and some caramel malt flavor. Finishes very dry, tart and warming. Good complexity throughout, a very nice mead. JPDIPSO (4906), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 31, 2003 Dark red/amber color with a pink/tan fizzy head. Aroma of a cream sherry. Initial oak flavors followed by a cherry cola flavor. Finishing with a dry acidic cherry oak flavor. Light and sparkling on the tongue. Long after the swallow the oak and malt still linger on the buds. I must say I like the products from the brewery. This one, while nothing earth shattering, is is a fun change of pace.
