Flavor is sugared hell in a glass. Acidic, tart, and syrupy rotting fruit. Being awful. badgerben (3599), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Clear "color" with no head. The aroma kind of smells like pear, but with a dash of rubbing alcohol. Oh sweet merciful god... the taste... the horror... It tastes like rubber cement that’s gone bad. No greater insult to the maker than is otherwise expected with a low rating, but this had notes of fusel alcohol and chemical additives. Very light color. At least the aroma isn’t completely awful. I like cider, but this one is terrible. It has an unpleasant aroma of alcohol and chemicals. a complete failure. I will have to try another bottle; maybe something went wrong. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Apr 14, 2007 From a 12-oz bottle shared at JK’s Sprint Gathering, pours a near clear watery cider with some fizz at the top. Aroma is sweet pear syrup and some enriched white bread. Taste... oooph, a bit watery, flat mineral and ground dirt. A bit rough on the palate for my liking. Strongly recommend serving this below 37 degrees if this suits your taste. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 12, 2006 12 oz bottle purchased at White Winter (July 2006) and sampled from a White Winter glass, a bit above fridge temperature. Very pale, almost clear yellow-gold with just a touch of fizzy bubbling....quite sweet pear-syrupy nose with a nice hint of earthy, chalky character....medium-dry flavor profile, somewhat mineralic towards the finish, touch watery but quite juicy and tasty....lower carbonation, more "natural" mouthfeel than the apple cider, I think. This is, interesting, made entirely from pears, rather uncommon for a commercial American perry.
