Poured a dark amber color, mostly still, with off white bubbles, and spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of some oxidized sherry, with oak, vanilla, and citrus fruits. Taste was sweet, with honey, some floral aspects, and an oaky, dry finish.

Pours to a translucent dark ruby body with a thin white head. Sticks to the glass. The aroma is tart like a sour brown with some vinous honey and oak. Too light and difficult to smell this one. The flavor is sweet with a nice balanced oakiness. Nice sweet maltiness. They definitely used a bunch of barley in this one. Honey, apples, and a light sour brown characteristic. Complex and enjoyable. The palate has a nice texture and sweet appley feel. Not overly alcoholic. In fact, it’s hardly detectable. A pretty good brackett.

Thanks to Heemer77 for bringing this one to Noogfest to share. Pours a medium amber with red highlights, no head. The aroma is fruity spices with a tartness that just tingles the nose. Sweet and syrupy.

Poured a hazy amber color with a ruby hue and alcohol legs. Sweet and fruity with notes of honey and alcohol. Sweet and fruity flavor. Notes of cherry. Dry finish and very warming. Medium body and a silky mouthfeel.

I got a bottle of this in Madison. Drank at Noogfest 2006. The body was dark amber with no head. The aroma was brandy with dry honey and apples. A nice dry yet fruity smell. The taste was honey with the dry oak character up front. There was also a hint of smoke. The thin body made this very drinkable. Interesting.

Aroma: This is definitely a balance between a beer and a mead. Honey is present with fig undertones. Alcohol is present in the nose, 12% beer. Appearance: Ruby Red with Orange hue. Very Clear, could be filtered. Flavor: This is a big beer, with slight warming on the tounge with sweetness in the middle and an alcohol burn in the finish. This "beer" is a nice balance of barley and honey. There are undertones of figs and spice. Some soft oak flavors that linger, almost like a barleywine. Mouthfeel: Awesome, the mouthfeel pours over your tounge like syrup. This braggot has a full body with medium high carbonation. Overall: This braggot is a harmonious blend of mead and beer, with enough sweetness and alcohol to balance it very nicely.

This one pours a clear ruby brown with no head. The body is smooth. Wood comes through in the flavor, but the honey is a bit of a no-show in the aroma or the flavor.

Pour is a dark brown with a fluffly white head. Aroma is deffinatly honey with some nutmeg and fig. Flavor is strong oak and honey with some vinegar and wine like qualities. Was this aged in bourbon barrels? Finishes with the strong alcohol burn you would expect from a 12%. Overall this is quite tasty if sipped slow and it a bargan at only $1.98 a bottle.
