IlanMan (816), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Feb 14, 2009 Bottle. Pour was light ruby with a nice lace. Had on ice. I got much more flavor from the warm sweet mead I had from White Winter. Light but fresh raspberry flavors. Decent but more like a mixed drink. Needs a much bigger honey background. grimreeser (795), Minnesota, USA Sep 29, 2008 ABR 2008. Big aroma of raspberry. Nice sweetness, finishes with a little bite at the end. BDR (2139), Roseville, Minnesota, USA May 23, 2007 Sampled at the White Winter Winery. Body that reminded me of a French Rose wine. Strong raspberry nose with a similarly strong raspberry taste. Wonderful smoothness without the bite typical of raspberry lambics. Skyview (4007), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 21, 2007 During May ’07 brewpub tour, stopped at the winery in Iron River, WI. Pours a pale earthy red color with pink highlights in the glass. Aroma of sweet raspberries, a touch of honey, and a hint of mellon. Taste is mostly fresh picked raspberries, a little syrupy, with a sweet honey aftertaste. Finish is sweet and more berries. Bring on the dark chocolate with this mead! Most excellent. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA Aug 12, 2006 Sample at the meadery, late July 2006, from a White Winter glass. Light pink, nearly transparent with faint but slow-dissolving legs.....sweet ripe nose with undercurrents of acid tartness, mostly fruity with little hint of honey/floral character....initially, perhaps only momentarily quite sweet and berry-full, quickly morphing towards a very sour, tart finish, almost mouthpuckering even....wow, this was a stunner, probably the tartest and most "hard" mead I’ve had. Doesn’t entirely work but it’s something to try. meadlover1959 (14), Wisconsin, USA Mar 20, 2005 I just bought a case of this. I found it very drinkable. Has a nice raspberry aroma and taste, but not overpoweringly so. Even with the raspberry sweetness, still manages to end with a dry finish. JPDIPSO (4862), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Oct 20, 2004 Dark pink color Not quite ripe raspberry aroma with hints of dry honey. Berry flavors, not a real strong raspberry presence. Light on the palate. Lightly acidic and a touch of alcohol. A few sips of this while cooking with it best fit this one.. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Sep 13, 2004 Autumn Brew Review: Pale Red Coloring. Raspberry Syrup More then Fresh Fruit Flavor. Very Light and Subdued..Easy to Drink. Little Sweet.
