White Winter Strawberry Mead

Light rose color with a body that only lightly coats the glass. Mild berry aromas. The key dry honey flavors backed by a mildly sweet berry presence. A touch of tartness to remind one this has some strawberries. Another interesting vinaigrette is in order.

Semi-dry with some honey undertones, but very little in actual strawberry flavor. More pronounced floral notes than actual fruit. OK, I guess.

Yum. Pale strawberry color. Subtle aroma of strawberries. Fresh ones. Not overpowering. Smooth and satiny on the tongue. The flavor was refreshing strawberry mixed with some honey and a little alcohol. Very appealing.

2004 Autumn Brew Review: Watery Strawberry Coloring. Stawberry Flavor...a Bit Bitter/Tart, Overall Not Bad.

Autumn Brew Review 2004. Light red, almost pink color. Mild aroma and taste of berries, but again, not really a strawberry flavor. Bitter and tart.

Pink. Not as much fruit aroma or taste as the raspberry. Dry; looks like a zin, tastes like a zin. Easily the dryest mead I have had.

Extremely light red almost watered down look. Smell was completely strawberry even from the pour. Taste was a bitter strawberry with a small fruity taste that was more noticable than the strawberry. Sweet finish with a little smack on the end. I expected more from the smell but, still good.

Sampled at the Peoria Int'l Beer Festival. Light pink in color, clear. Light flowery strawberry aroma. Bitter strawberry seeds dominate the flavor, with the fruity, flowery strawberry notes taking a back seat. Finishes semi-tart. Rather light on the palate, not very thick or sticky.
