From a 12oz. long neck bottle with a snow owl and Scandinavian wizard/viking on the label, no bottled/freshness date. Made a good appearance, poured a clear amber with a fluffy, foamy pale tannish head that settled into a thin foamy lacing, good carbonation. Had a sweet toasted honey grainy and spicy herbal nose with a raisin fruitiness at the edges. A crisp, textured and smooth medium bodied mouth feel, above average drinkability. Sweet malty and toasted honey grainy taste, a roastiness as well, raisin fruity, a spicy herbal hoppiness, a warming alcohol presence showing up in the middle and a dryish raisin and honey grainy finish. The first Braggot I’ve had, interesting and tasty, I will definitely look for more to try.

Clear dark golden bronze with a thin, lightly-lacing off-white head. Sweet toasty malty and floral dark honey aroma is very interesting. Body starts with a sweet sticky malt and honey balance toward a smooth, floral dark caramel and honey finish. Hides its alcohol well and is quite enjoyable.

Poured a clear golden amber color with a thin off-white head. It had a sweet aroma made up of honey and fruit. Some caramel maltiness was also present. Light alcohol fumes hit the nose. Flavor had sweet caramel with a touch of honey. This has a medium body and a silky mouthfeel. Light bitterness appears on the finish.

Pour is a copper with almost no head. Aroma is sweet and hoppy. Does a mead have hops? Flavor is also very sweet and lots of honey. Hops also show up in the flavor as well. Pretty tasty but im not sure this is a true mead. This is more of a pale ale. Will have to try other mead’s to compare.

12oz bottle
Deep, thick ruby amber with some sediment. Thick fluffy white head. Aroma bursts with honey, acetic cider, malt and vinous alcohol. If only the flavor followed suit. Instead it was dry and woody with only a hint of the honey sweetness and cider tartness the aroma suggested. The balance did improve a bit as it warmed -- turns out it’s best consumed near room temperature -- but it never really satisified. Thin body and palate. Underwhelming.

12 oz. bottle acquired from Outpost on Capital in MKE. Pours to a browned copper body with a thin fully lasting white head and so-so lacing. Some quick visible carbonation. The aroma is honey, flaked barley?, grass. A bit light. Hard to discern components. The flavor is pretty decent. The flavor is mini powdered sugar donuts, honey, barley. Very sweet. The palate is overly sweet, yet oddly is refreshing.

Ok, the brackett has fully warmed to room temp and is actually quite a bit better. +.3 total. +.1 to each flavor, palate, and overall. The palate became very warming. The 7% cannot be tasted but warms the throat a lot.

Clear orange brown pour, with flecks of yest and a creamy white head. Light fruit and oak aromas. Sugar. A little light tobacconess in the flavor. Spicy, warm, really sweet and bitingly tart. A little sour. Not really to my palate. Seems strong, harsh and burning.
