Sweet toasty malty and floral dark honey aroma is very interesting. Body starts with a sweet sticky malt and honey balance toward a smooth, floral dark caramel and honey finish. Hides its alcohol well and is quite enjoyable. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 1, 2007 My first brackett - It pours a deep brownish amber with a very short lived, slender & bubbly head. Smells nice, midly sweet cherries, honey, vanilla, and a light nutty bitterness. The bitterness increases slightly in the flavor and the honey gets a bit waxy, but the cherry & vanilla tastes remain steady. At a low ABV - for a mead - this is a very drinkable brew for a change of pace.

Aroma of light wheat, rosemary, thyme and dry buckwheat honey. First sip, WOW, that intense! Definate, dry honey, flavors. Dry caramel covered with bitter nearly sour pear. Interesting, but the bomber is a bit much for one setting. This would go well paired with cheese and light fruit. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma has some cherries and some boozy vanilla. There are also pears and some cinnamon. A nice and sweet fruity nose. The taste has some dry honey along with almonds and a hint of cough syrup. There is a bit of menthol in the finish. Interesting and different. A little more sweet than I was expecting after having a couple others in the style from this brewer. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA

It had a sweet aroma made up of honey and fruit. Some caramel maltiness was also present. Light alcohol fumes hit the nose. Flavor had sweet caramel with a touch of honey. This has a medium body and a silky mouthfeel. Light bitterness appears on the finish. Skyview (4076), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
